The summary of our points on Results is that we generally do not get
paid to try hard but to accomplish results, as measured against the
goals, and we should never forget that.
Also, the best Results are accomplished by having a balance between
Quality of the solution to the issue and Acceptance of that solution by
the intended audience. Sole focus on Quality will yield an academic
result that won’t get implemented, sole focus on Acceptance will yield a
solution that won’t get the Result accomplished in a meaningful
manner and thus won’t get you the rewards.
In this short, six page, paper we discuss and illustrate these points with some examples from real live experiences.
